Eyelash primers are essential for any makeup guru or noveist. Why might you ask? Well, think of it this way would you paint your home without a good base/primer. Anyone who wears mascara needs to keep the lashes conditioned and strong. Lash Primer helps to prevent flaking, smudging and it even helps keep the lashes curled. Since I have been wearing lash primer, I have noticed a few differences. The biggest difference is the ease of getting mascara off and the extra ump it adds to my makeup looks.

Lancome Cils Booster XL $ 21.50- is the mecca of lash primers in my opionion. This innovative mascara base maximizes the result of any mascara. It features micro-fibers for enhanced effect and the triangular brush helps separate lashes. 
Clinque Lash Building Primer $13.50 - is my happy medium, it doesn't break the bank and it works very well. Here's how Clinque explains this product. Lash-conditioning undercoat boosts the benefits of Clinique mascaras. Unique polymer combination holds mascara to lashes for a longer, fuller look and extended wear. Moisturizing formula helps condition and mend dry lashes.
Maybelline's XXL collection $ 8.99 - now most of these mascaras come with a primer and mascara however, I find myself using the primer more than the mascara. The primer is not to messy and coats the lashes nicely. The best part is, because it isn't sold alone, you get two great products in one at a cost less than 9 bucks.So, are you a lash primer? You got me wanting to try that Lancome primer. I think I'll pick some up next week. My HG Clinique is finished so the timing is right. I'm going to the Maybelline primer another look. I cast it away to the graveyard.
@ SuzieC, Your going to love the lancome primer and I usually never use the maybelline primer and mascara together and it works better alone.
I've only tried the Clinique Lash Building Primer but I love it. It really makes a difference when I pair it with Cover Girl's Lash Blast.
